Some months ago, National Geographic published an article about the cats on Jekyll Island, just off the coast of Georgia. Wildlife biologist Sonia Hernandez at the University of Georgia wanted to see whether the island’s feral cats were preying on birds.

She was surprised by how few birds the cats were catching.

This article describes her research and has a short video showing the use of the KittyCam - a cat-mounted camera that she used to discover and document the types of prey that cats went after.
