Last Thursday, Feral Fixers brought in 51 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. 20 of these cats were ferals while the other 31 were 'friendly ferals'.

With such a large load comes the need for help transporting. In the morning, super-volunteer Charli helped pick the cats at Tammy's, drive them to PAWS with me, unload them and help me with the paperwork. And in the evening, super-volunteers Rita, Judy and Nancy helped me pick up the cats from PAWS and bring them back to Tammy's for recovery and redistribution. And, as always, super-volunteer Judy (the 'other' Judy) was at Tammy's in the morning and afternoon helping with the preparation, loading, unloading and all the other myriad activities that go on to make such a trip possible.

Thanks Charli! Thanks Rita! Thanks Judy! Thanks Nancy! Thanks Judy!

Two of these cats were deemed by the PAWS staff to be too sick for surgery, so we wound up doing 'only' 49 that day. But also, this past Sunday, super-volunteer (and Feral Fixers Board member) Kurt brought one of our cats to PAWS to be fixed - doing the trip both ways as he combined it with additional cats he had done on his own.

Thanks Kurt!

So, with these 50 cats for the week, Feral Fixers has processed 107 cats for August, 627 for the year and 4,132 overall.
