"10 and 5." Actually, that's a phrase used in Major League baseball. If a player is "10 and 5" (10 years in the Majors and 5 years with the same team) then he can refuse a trade to another team. But I digress...
Last Thursday, we brought in 11 cats to the PAWS-Chicago spay/neuter clinic to be spayed/neutered. One of the cats was judged to be too ill to have surgery, so we wound up only having 10 done. I picked them up from Tammy's in the morning and drove them into PAWS and then picked them up from PAWS in the evening, after the surgeries, and drove them back to Tammy's for recovery.
And, last Sunday, we brought in 5 more cats to PAWS to be spayed/neutered. Super-volunteer Jennifer picked them up from Tammy's and drove them in while I picked them up from PAWS after the surgeries and drove them back to Tammy's for recovery. Thanks Jennifer!
Also on Sunday, I was able to pick up and bring pack to Tammy's our "rabies hold" kitty, the one that had inadvertently (it was under sedation at the time) bit/broke the skin of one of the volunteer vets. As expected the cat was just fine, but was REALLY READY to go home and get out of the trap!
With these first 15 cats for March, Feral Fixers has now processed 62 cats for the year and 2,543 overall.
