Yesterday, Feral Fixers brought in 37 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. 36 of these were ferals while the other one was a 'friendly feral'.

Super-volunteer Charli helped me pick up the cats from Tammy's in the morning and bring them to PAWS (Thanks Charli!) while super-volunteer Dedra helped me pick up the cats from PAWS in the late afternoon and bring them back to Tammy's for recovery and distribution (Thanks Dedra!). And, as always, super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's both in the morning and the evening helping out with the 101 tasks necessary to make all of this work. Thanks Judy!

Usually with a batch this size (or even smaller), there is always at least one or more cats that doesn't get surgery. They may have already been spayed or neutered (but not ear-tipped so we can't tell via a visual inspection) or they're not healthy enough or something, but not today. All 37 cats received spay/neuter surgery which represents another big batch of "kitten machines" which has been permanently put out of production.

With these 37 cats, Feral Fixers has processed 98 cats for April, 239 cats for the year (which puts us ahead of last year's pace) and 6,215 overall.
