This past Sunday I brought in 7 cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be spayed/neutered.

Four of these cats were ferals while three of them were 'friendly ferals'. The friendly ferals were all from the same location, so we did them all at one time. One of them, Duke, was a male and was super-friendly. He also had a tick in his ear which the good people at PAWS removed for him. Unfortunately (or, fortunately) we discovered, during the pre-operation examination, he had already been neutered. We left/kept him there, of course, so that he could have his rabies and distemper vaccinations, be tested for FiV/FeLV (he was negative), get de-wormed, treated for fleas, and be micro-chipped (all of the services that PAWS provides as a matter of course - we love you PAWS!).

I also picked up the cats that afternoon and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery.

With these seven six cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 69 cats for this month, 246 for this year and 1.725 overall...
