We have been neutering cats on a limited basis. With fewer volunteers and fewer s/n slots available to us, we have still managed to neuter 154 cats since January 1st! Made possible by the transport help of Debbie, Charli, Dedra, Judy, Laura, here’s the breakdown:

• January 9th - 1 feral, 7 friendlies (3 male, 5 female) at the Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital (GEAH)
• January 26th - 5 ferals, 11 friendlies (3 male, 13 female) at PAWS
• January 27th - 1 friendly (female) at GEAH
• February 1st - 1 feral (male) at GEAH
• February 9th - 3 ferals, 3 friendlies (3 males, 3 females) at PAWS
• February 22nd - 9 ferals, 1 friendly (2 males, 8 females) at PAWS
• February 23rd - 10 ferals, 7 friendlies (12 males, 5 females) at PAWS
• February 27th - 17 ferals (10 males, 7 females) at ADOPT
• March 2nd - 6 ferals, 1 friendly (1 male, 6 females) at ADOPT
• March 6th - 2 ferals, 4 friendlies (1 male, 5 females) at ADOPT
• March 8th - 10 ferals (3 males, 7 females) at PAWS
• March 9th - 23 ferals (10 males, 13 females) at PAWS
• March 16th - 6 ferals, 1 friendly (2 males, 5 females) at PAWS
• March 19th - 1 feral (male) at GEAH
• March 20th - 2 ferals (male) at ADOPT
• March 30th - 16 ferals, 6 friendlies (16 male, 6 female) at PAWS

Impressive what can be done in 3 months time, isn’t it? These cats were kittens left over from the end of 2016, cats that had one left to be TNR’d in a colony, intact females that we knew were going to have kittens at the first opportunity, etc., etc. These numbers bring us to 154 for the year and 9,599 since we began in 2007.
