On Saturday, Feral Fixers hosted booths at two events. I think this is the first time we've had to split up to cover multiple events on the same day - just another example of how we are becoming more and more part of the DuPage County animal welfare scene...
Feral Fixer Board members Kurt and myself hosted the booth at the Annual Wood Dale Park District Pet Lovers Showcase. This is the third year in a row we've had a booth at this event. Last year it rained for most of the event, with the weather breaking into sunshine only near the very end. This year the weather was absolutely perfect. Temperature was about 75 degrees with just a slight breeze to keep things very comfortable. We had a couple boxes of Milkbones, several packages of cat treats and lots of candy, so we were able to keep everyone happy!
And Feral Fixers president, Tammy, and super-dooper-volunteer Mary hosted a booth at the Bartlett Heritage Days festival. This was the first year we had a booth at this event and, hopefully, we will become a fixture at this event for many years to come.
Pictures for the Pet Lovers Showcase are now posted on our Flickr Account. Thank you to all of our friends who came out and stopped by to say "Hello" to us. We were able to pass out many business cards and flyers and, in general, had a great time spreading the word about Trap-Neuter-Return.
We hope to see you at these events again next year!
