Yesterday, Wednesday, Feral Fixers processed six more cats at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic. Three of them were ferals while the other three were 'friendly ferals'.

The super-volunteer-tag-team of Dale & Arlie both picked up the cats from Tammy's and dropped them off at PAWS and then picked them up at PAWS after their surgeries and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery. Thanks Dale! Thanks Arlie!

Tammy reports that one of the friendlies was a 'Halloween kitten' - he was following trick or treaters right into houses and then being booted out when our volunteer saw him. The last house, whom she asked if they were the owners, threatened to poison the kitten so she whisked him away. We'll never know his whole story but he was neutered today and will go for adoption soon!

One of the ferals, barely more than a kitten, turned out to have an enormous abscess on her left hip. The vets at PAWS found it, treated it and she will be healthy as a result!

With these first six cats of November, Feral Fixers has now processed 831 cats this year and 2,310 overall.
