Today we processed nine more cats at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic. Five of these cats were from Bolingbrook while the others were from other DuPage County locations.

Super-volunteer Jennifer brought the cats into PAWS this morning (Thanks Jennifer!) while I picked them up and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery.

Most of them were males and, let me tell you, some of them were VERY STINKY on the ride back. Normally I leave the back windows open a crack so that the car doesn't smell. Today, I had to open up the windows pretty wide...

With these nine cats, Feral Fixers has had 78 cats fixed in April, 255 fixed for the year and 1,734 overall. Last year at this time, we had processed 212 cats, so we are 43 cats 'ahead' of last year's pace. Hopefully we can keep it up and bring the numbers of Feral cats brought into DuPage County Animal Care & Control down even more (last year saw a 35% drop in the number of cats brought into DuPage County from the year before - yay!).
