This past Wednesday, Feral Fixers processed eight more cats at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic. Once again I lucked out on transport as super-volunteer Jennifer brought them in to PAWS in the morning while super-volunteers Julie & Connie picked them up and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery. Thanks Jennifer! Thanks Julie! Thanks Connie! And, Tammy tells me that I neglected to mention that super-volunteer Sue also participated in the multiple cat transports described in my last post (55 for April so far). Thanks Sue!

Finally, Tammy thought that you would all enjoy this picture of Leroy, an obviously-distressed cat, formerly a feral and now living the good life. Leroy was a feral cat from a small colony in Downers Grove. Feral Fixers took Leroy (along with his mother and three siblings) in to be neutered (and to have rabies and distemper shots, be treated for ear mites and fleas, be de-wormed and micro-chipped and ear-tipped - all the things that PAWS does for its incredible price of $25) in the fall of 2009 and, since then, Leroy has decided that perhaps the life of an indoor cat might have its advantages...

With these eight cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 63 cats for the month of April, 240 for the year and 1,719 overall.
